We all really enjoyed reading this book. It was clever and original how Joy Cowley wove two stories together. She kep us guessing right up to the end what the relationship was between the modern day children and the eponymous Hunter from 1805. -

Deborah - Northern Lights by Philip Pullman
This is one of my favourite all-time books. It made me enter a world I could have never imagined. It has lots of adventure but explores some astonishing complex themes that mean you could you read it again and again and discover something new each time.
