    Premise of Book
This book takes place in the fourth kingdom, Necronum, where spirits come back from the echolands (afterlife) and powerful weavers bind people with their wills. Cole has to find Destiny, one of the heirs to the throne of the Outskirts, and restore her stolen powers. He and his friends have to avoid the Enforcers, stop an all-powerful torivor, and try not to get burned by treacherous echoes (ghosts). I chose this book because I read the other books of this series and liked them.
  • Event 1: The Shrine

    Event 1: The Shrine
This event takes place in the first chapter of the story at an echo shrine, where humans cna communicate with spirits. Hunter, Jace, Dalton, and Cole go there to talk to get information about Destiny. Cole makes a deal to get information from Sando, an unknown echo, to go somewhere called the Cave of Memory to look for a clue that help him find Destiny- but is it a trap? Thinking: This event is the expostion of the story because it starts the book and introduces the characters to a new place.
  • Event 2: The Cave of Memory

Event 2: The Cave of Memory
After being rescued from Enforcers by a mysterious wild horse, Cole learns that going into the cave leaves behind an intagible copy of yourself that was stuck in the cave. He headed in anyway and finds Destiny's imprint. Cole finds out that Destiny was going to go to an old, dangerous prison called Gamat Rue next. Thinking: Leaving an imprint behind was a risk for Cole. If someone on The High King's side found it, they could trick it into getting information Cole didn't want them to know.
  • Event 3: Gamat Rue

When they reach Gamat Rue, Cole and his friends are betrayed by Sando and Jace, Joe, and Mira's spirits are sent to the echolands (afterlife). However, there's still a way to bring their spirits back. Hunter crosses over on his own and learns where Destiny went next from an imprisoned echo. They escape and Cole heads to the Temple of the Robust Sky to pick up Destiny's trail. All three of them had crossed over to the echolands weeks before. Elana sends Cole across to the echolands and his hunt resumes. Thinking- The idea of an in-between place where spirits go before the final afterlife is interesting.
  • Event 6- The Hall of Glory

The horse, which Cole names Thunder, brings him to a huge castle with imposing music. He goes inside and finds that it is a home of heroes who died for good causes. He finds Durny, an old friend who introduces him to Harvan and Winston, heroes who agree to go with him to find Destiny. The three of them and two other heroes set off to the Sweet Channel Charnel House, the place where Elana told Cole to go. After Destiny and Cole leave Dandalus's sanctuary, Sando and his shapecrafters attack them. When they arrive, Sando and a group of shapecrafters attack. Harvan and Winston hold them off while Cole races to the top of the mountain. • The Fallen Temple

Cole and his friends next head to the Fallen Temple, Nazeem's lair, where Mira, Destiny, and Durny are being held. They battle, and then Ramarro uses Destiny's power to escape his prison. Cole manages to use his power to send him to another prison- but who knows how long it'll hold him. • Reflection

    Reflection
Overall, I thought the book was very good and would definitely recommend it to a friend and watch the movie if there was one. Once the next book comes out, I'm going to get it as soon as possible. I really enjoyed this book and am glad I did it for my project. I did leave some details out, though so you'll have to read the book to get them!
