David Livingstone was born on March 19,1813. He was born in blantyre, south lanrkshire, Scotland.He worked when he was a kid. He went to school and work in the morning and at night . he did that till he went into medical school.He wanted to help people that are sick and that are hurt. -

When he was 10 he he began working in a cotton mill. He had school lessons in the evening. he then began studing medicine and theology decided to become a missionary doctor.He then began helping people. Also conveting people to christianity. -
Moving to Africa
Livingstone went into medicine and missionary work. Then he moved to africa in 1841. David livingstone crossed africa he would go across many bodies of water that where unkown to the british. they had been Zambezi River and the Victoria falls.He witnessing the horrors of the slave trade he was aginst slavery. -

The english posted him at kalahari desert in south africa. He convenced the mission to go to new places and teach them about christianity. Also freeing them from slavery. It is what he did there that he was ecouraged to go on these explorations.In africa and teach them about christianity . -

He then married Mary Moffat they had several children. They lived in africa with there children.he set fourth for africa and his wife went with hi and they stayed in africa and there children stayed with them . there while they explored. -

He came upon lake ngami the next year he continued to explore. they reached the western coast of luanda in 1853. He came to the zambezi falls. The natives called it 'smoke that thundered'.He named it victoria falls after the Queen victoria. The Queen liked that he named it aftrer her. -

he ruterned to britain as he was a hero to the british people. he did lots of public speaking about africa. All of his adventures and all that he had seen. All the people and the cheifes that he had met while he was in africa. All the people where intrested and he spoke out againt slavery . -

When he returned to england. He recived awards then he wrote a book Missionary Travels. He was asked to lead an expedition by the british it would go through Zambezi. They did not have a good expeedition. The crew was arguing through the trip. The boat being abandoned because of it geting holes in it and having to get into another boat. His wife mary got sick and die when returning to africa. -

Livingstone came back to england in 1864 and he soke out against slavery. then he published a book Narrative of an Expedition to the Zambesi and its Tributies. In theis book he wrote about also malaria. they thought mosquitos could spread malaria . -

After his wife had died of sickness. The british ordered him to come home. he wrote a book about the slaves where treated and about how tthey where brought back to england to be sold into slavery. He then got a private funds not the british government. to go back to africa and keep working on exploring africa and charting it out and searching for the mouth of the nile river. -

He eventually ended at the village of nyangwe. Where he saw the vilent killings the arabic slave traders killed hundreds of people at the village. -

Henry found him in ujiji in 1871 he said the famouse words Dr. Livingstone , i presume.they thought he had got lost in africa but he was just exploring africa. -
