    Ottomans began using capitulations treaties to reach their goal. They signed the first full-capitulations treaty with France. The system allowed certain European nations to gain different rates of tax exemption on their exports and imports with the Ottomans. The European's goal was to increase mercantilism. They were hoping their goal would decrease the movement of precious metal away from Europe. Both the European's and the Ottoman's saw benefits from this system (galegroup.com).

Judith had a tragic life by dealing with her husband, Thomas Quiney. Quiney had a child with another woman, Margaret Wheeler, while being married to Judith. Judith and Hamnet were not as successful and happy as Susanna but they managed to carry on through hard times (galegroup.com).

    The Eighty Years' War was a war of Netherland's independence from Spain. This led to the separation of Northern and Southern Netherlands. This also formed the Dutch Republic or United Provinces of the Netherlands. Mercenary armies were lead by Prince William I of Orange.     Roanoke was found by Sir Walter Raleigh. John White was the governor and captain of the lost island. White left Roanoke to gain more supplies, but when he returned three years later he found the island to be abandoned. People assumes that the island was abandoned due to lack of supplies, harsh weather, and poor relationship with the Indigenous people. This was the first unsuccessful English settlement in the New World (Washington.edu).

    Shakespeare traveled to London at the age of 26 to begin his career. He was established a an actor and a dramatist. Shakespeare was first mentioned as a man of the theatre by Robert Greene, a dramatist. Greene referred to Shakespeare as an 'upstart crow'. However, the theatres were often closed due to a plague. While the theatres were closed Shakespeare wrote his earliest poems "Venus and Adonis" and "The Rape of Lucrece" (nosweashakespeare.com).

    Shakespeare's father, John Shakespeare, died at the age of 70 deto natural causes. He is buried in Stratford's Holy Trinity Church. This was the worst year of Shakespeare's life. His father's death was the second most tragic experience in his life. His first tragic experience was the death of his son Hamnet. On John's tomb, in Stratford, there is the coat-of-arms symbol. This symbol is carved on his tomb because he worked hard to get it and finally did (galegroup.com).

    Jamestown, Virginia was lead by James Smith and was America's first permanent English Colony. A ship carrying 105 passengers left England in December and arrived to Jamestown in late April. Jamestown was going through a period known as "starving time," but luckily, some settlers with supplies arrived to Jamestown from England. Jamestown soon went on to become a town by the mid 1700's (prezi.com).

    William Shakespeare died at the age of 52. Shakespeare was buried at the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford along with his parents. He died due to a serious illness. His tomb lies below the floor of the church, in the chancel. Next to his tomb lies Anne Hathaway, his wife. The were buried next to each other so that they would remain together forever (Shakespeare's England 135).
