William has done at least 37 plays and over 150 shots and long poems which are considered to be the finest ever written English plus his 17 comedies all the way from 1590 to 1613. What made William more unique was that he used boys to interpret the women's part. He would also use about ten syllables per line unless the character had a problem.

With his creativity, William was able to impact his audience with the play Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, written in 1599 as he grieves for his father and avenges his death. Became one of the best because William wrote it out of his own experience of losing his son Hamnet in 1596. William Shakespeare retired in 1613 from London he returned back to Stratford-upon-Avon spending the few years of his life in the town's largest home which he purchased in 1597.
