    The Proclamation of 1763 was made by King George III, which was signed after a revolt by the native Americans against the colonists. This Treaty made all Native Americans leave to the West of the Appalachian Mountains and forbid colonists expanding there.

    The stamp act was a tax placed on the colonists by Great Britain. This tax applied to most paper goods, like playing cards and letters. It was a source of outrage for the Colonists and helped spark the revolution in the Colonies.

Hundreds of British troops stormed into concord to seize a colonist weapon stash. These battles resulted in a Colonist victory and pushed the British troops back.

The Battle was mainly fought on Bunker Hill, Massachusetts. These battles resulted in the capture of Charleston Pennsylvania by the British.

    The pamphlet called Common sense was written and distributed by Thomas Paine. It consisted of propaganda against the British that helped lead the Colonists into the Revolution. He also encouraged a Democratic Republic. One quote from the pamphlet is: "Society is produced by our wants, and government by wickedness; the former promotes our happiness positively by uniting our affections, the latter negatively by restraining our vices".

    The Battles of Saratoga consisted of 2 battles between the British and the Colonists. These were fought in Saratoga, NY and ended in a Colonist victory. This battle was extremely important because it raised the colonist armies morale and convinced allies that the U.S could win the war.

    Valley Forge was one of the 8 camps for the Continental Army. This camp was led by General Washington and was located in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The colonist army was trained during the winter and left the camp well trained and ready to fight.

    The Battle of Yorktown was a battle that took place in Yorktown Virginia and ended in the British Army's surrender. This battle was led by General George Washington. This battle insured George Washington's reputation. He later became the first president of the United States.

    The Treaty of Paris was a treaty that was signed by the British and ended the Revolutionary war. This granted the colonists independence and gave them territory in the West. The treaty also had British troops return to Britain and any property would be returned to the colonists.
