I chose this book because I read other books by Will Hobbs and I really liked them. This book is about a kid named Victor Flores he lives in central Mexico. He is now the man of the house because his father died working illigaly as an construction worker in South Carolina. Victor and his friend rico want to cross the border for a better life and Victor also wants to support his family. -
event two
Victors Friend Rico showed him the roll of American dollars with hundred signs he had got from his brother that lives in america as cyote money. A cyote is a smugler that take people for money. I thought his brother must be rich just to give him all of that money. -

Rico ran off to cross the border to work in the U.S. I thought Rico was not going to make it acroos the border. -

Victor sold vegtibles so he could take care of his family. Victor couldn't sell them that year. At this point I knew that Victor was going to head to the U.S. like Rico. -

Victor Packed some clothes and food. He stated to head north to the U.S. I wonderd what his family at home was going to do by them selves. -

Victor met a boy named Miguel on his way. They jumped trains and went thruogh mountains. Miguel got hurt while they ran from patrolman. Miguel gave Victor all of his thing because he could no longer coutinue to run so let the patrolman take him.Victor got away. I thought Victor would also get chought. -

Victor was in the mountains and was almost attacted by a puma. He scared it away by screaming and yelling with a pocket knife.He was really high in the mountains and it started to snow realy bad so he found a place under the trees to start a fire. I thought it was a smart idea not to run away from the puma. -

Victor saw someone fishing on a dock and his truck was on the street.there was a small box in the back of the truck. Victor went up to the truck and squeezed himself into the box. Victor was in the box for a while the herd the car start then the man started driving. They came to a stop then the man opend the box and pulled Victor out. Victor saw the uniform he had on then realized it was a patrolman. I felt realy bad for Victor. -

Victor got away from the patrolman. one day later he saw Rico and his brother.Rico was cleaning a swumming pool. I thought why would Rico be cleaning his brothers swimming pool. -

Rico and Victor was rally happy to see eachother. But then Rico said that he wanted to go back to Mexico to see his family again.
Victor got kind of mad because they could have killed just tring to come to the U.S. I thought why would he do all that work the go back to Mexico. -

Rico took a bus to get back to his family. It was up to victor to find his own job to get money for himself and to send some to his family back in Mexico. I dont know how they can work illegaly and get paid good money. -

I woud recomend this book because it has a lot of action in it and Will Hobbs has a lot of goot books.
