  • Fortran Language

    Fortran, otherwise known as "Formula Translating System," is an "imperative programming language that is especially suited to numeric computation and scientific computing" designed by John Backus
  • COBOL

    COBOL ,or common business-oriented language, was developed by a group of people "Howard Bromberg, Howard Discount, Vernon Reeves, Jean E. Sammet, William Selden, Gertrude Tierney." They designed this lamguage for business use.
  • BASIC Language

    BASIC or, Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code, was created by John G. Kemeny and Thomas E. Kurtz to help students from non science and mathematics majors to use computers.
  • B language

    Created by Ken Thompson with Dennis Ritchie for Bell Labs. This language was used to help create the Mulitics Project.
  • C language

    C Language was created by Denis Ritchie, to aid in developing the Unix operating system
  • ADA Language

    designed by a team led by Jean Ichbiah of CII Honeywell Bull under the United States Department of Defense. Created to reduce the number of languages used in the DoD's projects
  • C++ Language

    C++ was designed by Bjarne Stroustrup in 1983. His purpose was to design a faster language similar to "Simula."
  • VISUAL BASIC Language

    Visual Basic, developed by Microsoft, intended as an introduction language to ease people into programming.
  • Delphi

    Delphi was originally developed Borland in 1995 "as a rapid application development tool for Windows, and as the successor of Borland Pascal"
