    Manga Carta

    manga carta is latan for ''great charter'' this document was created because king john treted his people harshly and the people rebeled agance the king and made him sign the document which layed out rules such as no one could be above the the law, to protect the nobla priviliges and athority, to be treated the same under the law and trial by one's peers

    this timeline eplains of events, documents, and people that have influenced the united states in order to form the united states constitution
  • Mayflower Compact

    the mayfower compact is a document that the pilgrims signed to show that the have landed and that they were going stay in this new land that is now called the united states of america. the new incomers noticed that they needed a form of govermnt.
  • Fundamental Order of Connecticut

    this is a doument that the pilgims made in which it said that the people of the thirteen coioneys could elect there represenitives and vote for there leader. this was a big deal because this was the first consitution for the united states
  • Glorious Revolution

    this was a great action in which the united states use up to this day. the action was the the removal of king jame ll from the throne and putting his daughter in place of him. the way this is used is if one of the president is found guilty of a serious cause he can be removed from the whight house and then the vice president would atomaticly turn into the president
  • English Bill of Rights

    at this time there were monarchies which are known as king or queens but some of them liked to over abuse there power so this document ristricted there power, gave the people free elections to parlament fair trial and elemanation of crule or unusaual punishments
  • John Locke

    John Looke had a big inpact to our goverment. he believed that every person was bornwith the rights to life liberty and property and believed in the social contract
  • Baron de Montesquieu

    he thought of the idea of seperation of goverments, in other sords that there should be more then one branch of goverment and that they all should not hae more power then the other branch, that they all should have the same amunt of power.
    with this said, this would put a balence in the goverment system which wouldn't let ay of the branches or even the goverment it self to have more power and control.
