Childhood
Conor Mcgregor was born on July 14th, 1988 in Crumlin, Dublin, Republic of Ireland to his parents Tony and Margaret Mcgregor. He is the youngest of three, with two older sisters, Aoife and Erin. At 12 he started training in boxing and began playing for his local club team in soccer. He moved to Lucan, Dublan when he was 18 for school. -
First Fight
He had his first ever MMA fight at a place in Lucan, Dublin as a part of a promotion for the Irish Cage of Truth. He won against his opponent, Kieran Campbell, in the first round via TKO. After the fight he was approached by a representative of the Irish Cage of Truth and eventually signed with them, becoming a professional fighter. -
First Professional Fight
Conor began training at the Straight Blast Gym in Dublin and mentored by the founder of the gym, John Kavanagh. After about a year's worth of training, he had his first professional MMA fight as a Lightweight. He fought against Gary Morris and beat him in the second round by TKO. -
First UFC Fight
A few months prior, the UFC announced the signing of Conor Mcgregor for a multi-fight contract. The fight was the opener for the Mousasi vs Latifi program where he faced his opponent Marcus Brimage. Mcgregor won not much longer than a minute after the first round began by TKO, once again. -
First UFC Loss
In January the UFC announced that Mcgregor would be going up against Rafael dos Anjos in the UFC 196 for the Lightweight Championship. However, about two weeks before the fight, it was said that dos Anjos had broken his foot and couldn't fight, so the best replacement they could find was #10 ranked Nate Diaz. Mcgregor was the overwhelming favorite going into the fight, but in the second round he let his guard down and had to lose by submission. -
Son is Born
On May 5, 2017, Conor's girlfriend Dee Devlin, gave birth to their son Conor Jack Mcgregor Jr. Conor has posted many pictures on social media with his son and constantly talks about him. -
Mcgregor vs Mayweather
Also known as "The Money Fight", Mcgregor vs Mayweather has proven to be one of the biggest fights of all time. Though Mcgregor is a UFC fighter, Floyd Mayweather, who has never lost a boxing match, would only agree to come out of retirement and fight him if it was boxing. After 10 whole rounds, Mayweather finally won by TKO.But in the long run, they were both winners as Mcgregor still went home with a minimum of 30 million dollars.
