Equipped with sensing devices and driven by a problem-solving program called STRIPS, The robot used a TV camera, laser range finder, and bump sensors to navigate its way around, then it transmitted to a DEC PDP-10 and PDP-15.

    Compaq Computer Corp. introduced first PC clone that used the same software as the IBM PC. With the success, Compaq recorded first-year sales of $111 million, the most ever by an American business in a single year.

    Pixar's "Tin Toy" was the first to win a Academy Award that was computer animated, it took the Oscar for the the best animated short film.
    This put an emphasis on computer editing.

    “Doom” is released. id Software released Doom in late 1993. Doom became popular on many different platforms before losing popularity to games like Halo and Counter-Strike. Doom players were also among the first to customize the game’s levels and appearance. Helped understand coding better.
