    The first phone I remember using was an old spin dial phone. I showed this typ of phone to my boys once and they couldn't belive that you had to dial each number in and waith for the dial to spin around.

    We finally got a touch tone phone, we were oh so COOL!
  • Cordless Phone

    Then we really got "techie" and got a cordless phone. I remember thinking it was so awesome to be able to take the phone in my room and talk to friends!

    Just after getting the cordless model, we were introduced to phones that would record voice messages, this was unbelievable!

    When I first got married, my husband got a mobile phone through his work. We thought we were right uptown. It was one of those "brick" type cell phones.

    Phones kept getting smaller and more intelligent as we progressed through time. The next big thing I remember was the flip phone.

    Flip phones were cool, but they had that annoying antenna on top. But that was remmedied with the Nokia phone that I had next.

    Ah, the age of texting!! I got a phone that slid open to reveal a small keyboard for texting!

    Then came the PDA with the stylus pen, I never owned one of these but I had family and friends who did, and they loved them.

    Finally, the age of the smart phone. Who knew that in the 21st century we could, communicate, play games, take vidoe and pictures, and get connected to the internet all on a little phone!
