    United Nations
    The United Nations was designed to be a piece keeping organization. They are the people who supply the countries in the UN medication. This was founded in 1945 by multiple countries and the head quarters is in new York city. The people that are in it may be U.S.A, England, France, Russia, and China. This impacted society because it supplies the people with vaccines.
  • NATO and Warsaw Pact

    NATO and Warsaw Pact
    Two sides of Berlin were in conflict for 49 years. NATO stands for North American Treaty Organization and they were a military alliance. However Russia wanted to copy us and make their own military alliance called The Warsaw Pact. The place where all this drama happened was in Berlin. This was important because if we didn't do this we would not have anything to help us with reconstruction after war time. This effected politics because it helped the governments out after an attack.

    The U.S went against Vietnam for them to become independent as democrats. For instance, the U.S was with the north which was the democratic side trying to take control of the south side which we accidentally started a civil war with them. But, when the north side lost Vietnam did become a single country but it became communist because we started that war against them two. . The Vietnam war affected the economy because we lost many troops and money there.

    The Cuban missile crisis with the soviet union and the U.S.A was Crazy. This began when one of the U.S.A's U-2 Spy Planes caught a picture of the soviet union pointing Nukes at the U.S. This made us respond with production of nukes for if we went into nuclear war. This impacted history as the closest we have ever been to full nuclear war. The Cuban Missile Crisis impacted politics because this was figured out by the government and they were at first trying to fix it.

    Buzz Aldrin, Neal Armstrong, and Collin Pilots piloted Apollo 11. When they lifted off they made into space and all the way too the moon. So, Neal Armstrong leaped out of the shuttle and became the first man moon the moon. This all happened on July 20, 1969.This was important to history because the u.s was the first to have a man on the moon. Man On The Moon effected society as one of their own landed somewhere no one had ever gone to.

    Jackie Robinson was a 4 sport athlete that made it to the top.Jackie Robinson basketball, football, and baseball which he is most commonly known for. Jackie had received letters for all 4 sports too. But, he could handle all of the rude comments coming from crowds in which they chose him to be the first African american to be in the major league. This was beneficial to society because all teams retired number 42 from all baseball teams and it is only used on April 15 on Jackie Robinson day.

    Jimmy carter was the president of the U.S.A. 2 minutes after jimmy inauguration 52 hostages in Iran were returned to the U.S.A. Also, he was the one got the Olympic boycott for not having america participate in the Olympics. Jimmy Carter was the president of the U.S.A from 1976-1980. This was a historical event because he was the one who did salt II, and he passed the social security act. Jimmy Carter affected the economy because he was the president of the U.S.A.

    Elvis Presley was a big hit back in the 50's. Elvis's career started at 8 years old winning his first talent contest. But, it escalated to the television, to live concerts. This took place in Memphis Tennessee in the 1950's until he went into the military till the 70's. He was important because after he died that was the day that the most flowers were sold, to honer him. This event impacted society because many people loved him and to have so many people put flowers by your grave is a big deal.

    Martian Luther King Jr was a great man before his life was taken away by a man known as James Earl Ray. Martian was visiting Memphis Tennessee to support black sanitation workers on strike. He was walking out of the Lorraine Motel in room 306 to where he was shot in the jaw. This took place on April 4th 1968. This was important to history because to silence the leader of Americas non violent civil rights. This impacted the society because the civil rights movement ended after his death.

    operation desert storm a short but deadly battle for Iraq. This was a Arial assault on Iraq. This was to save Kuwait from being ruled under a dictator. This took place in Iraq on January 16, 1991. This was important to history because if we didn't stop them then they would have spread the influence of dictatorship into the middle east. In conclusion, The Persian Golf war effected the economy because it was costly in 10,000 deaths of solders and we spent billions of dollars on that war.

    9-11 will be known as the worst terrorist attack in american history besides the bombing of pearl harbor by Al Qaeda. They attacked by crashing the planes into 4 places, the Twin Towers 1st tower, the 2nd tower, the Pentagon, and the capital or white house which is still a debate. and the forth plane missed the location due to the people on board crashing the plane. This event took place on September 11, 2001. This event effected the society by the lives taken and the destruction it caused.

    Barack Obama's inauguration was a very interesting experience. What made this so interesting was that Barack Obama is the first African American to be a president in the U.S.A! Also, he used Abe Lincoln's bible to be sworn in as he was the one who ended slavery. This is Important to history because he had one of the most observed inaugurations in the world. Obama's inaugurations affected the society because as mentioned before he is the first African american president.
