    The NATO/Warsaw Pact was an organization which was a military alliance. It is located in Brussels, Belgium. NATO Stands for North Atlantic treaty organization. The WP was the Soviet Union military alliance too. The NATO/WP was like the cold war. The NATO/Warsaw Pact impacted the society by creating this new group. This impacted the people of the countries that are in the NATO/WP. The importance is the difference between communism and democracy. NATO was 1949 and Warsaw Pact was 1955.
  • Korean War

    The North Koreans were communist and supported by the USSR. The South Koreans were Democratic and supported by the U.S. United Nation forces sent commander Douglas Macarthur. The US troops were outnumbered and poorly supplied. Macarthur was caught by surprise and pushed back North Korea back. It impacted the U.S because the U.S soldiers were losing their life while they were in the war. The importance for the Korean war was that they wanted one kind of government instead of two government.

    Oliver Brown asked the local school board if his daughter could attend the nearest school to her house. The daughter's name was Linda Brown. The NAACP helped Oliver Brown file the lawsuit against the school board. Which was Thurgood Marchall. The school was violated the 14th amendment. Especially the schools down south.The importance is that it overturned Plessy vs Fergusson. The impact was that the supreme court was desegregated by all the schools in the U.S.A.

    Elvis was the king of rock & roll. He was popular due to the television he was on Ed Sullivan show. He had 94 gold singles and 40 gold albums also were in 33 files before he was 42 years old. It impacted the pop culture because he made music that everyone that liked it the influence was that he gave 1,000$ to 50 charities. The importance for Elvis was that he made everyone like due to his music. Also he helped people that could not pay for their medical bills.

    Vietnam was ruled by France before Vietnam became a country. This was nearly 1,000 miles long in Vietnam. There were more than 500,000 troops that were sent by the U.S.A. We had so many unclear victories because we didn't know if they were Vietnam or the Vietcong. This happened because a woman and little children would kill the U.S soldiers. While this war was going on, main while in the US there were two different sides a Hawk side and a Dove side.

    Robert was killed in Los Angles, California at the ambassador hotel. Robert was walking through the kitchen of the Ambassador hotel. Then, Sirhan, Sirhan killed RFK with a .22 caliber pistol. Sirhan stepped out of the pantry and killed RFK. The importance was that the secret serves is now guard all future major presidential candidates. Today the people that are running president now have the secret serves guard them.

    The massacre took place in the Ohio schools. There were 21,000 students that were involved in the massacre. Total students that were killed during the massacre was 4 students and 9 wounded. 25 student and professors were founded guilty of the massacre by the Grand Jury. 28 guardsmen turned and face the students and fired 61 bullets into the crowd. Importance was that the National Gaurd was NOT held accountable for the massacre. Also not blamed for the shooting.

He was also apart of the social security ACT that passed. He also raised millions of peanut farms. He also attended a segregated school during his presidency. He also was the first president to be born in a hospital during the year of 1924. His presidency was during the olympic boycott which was in 1980s and the U.S olympic team didn't go to.

Other events that happened during his presidency was that he help the Exxon oil spill that happened. He also helped the berlin wall fall down between east and west Berlin. George also went skydiving on his 80th birthday and his 90th birthday. Also his dog Millie authored a book named "Millie's book"

    This war started in October 2001( Afghanistan) & March 2003 (Iraq) and the president during that time was George W. Bush and the British Prime Minister Tony Blair. United Nations found no evidence of weapons of the mass destruction. This led to an occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan by American troops for over a decade. This cost about $4-6 million. The U.S forces have been attacked both by the supporters and by the AL-Qaida and the Taliban
  • Hurricane Katrina/Harvey

    Hurricane Katrina/Harvey
    Hurricane Katrina took place on August 29, 2005. Hurricane Harvey took place on August 25, 2017. They both did damages to many buildings in Texas, and New Orleans. It cost more that 74 billion dollars. In hurricane Katrina all the survivors fled to the superdome in New Orleans. In Hurricane Harvey 215,000 students could not go to schools more than 2 months. 70 countries gave us money to repair the damage from Hurricane Katrina. JJ Watt raised more than 350 million dollars to the family's houses.
