The t.v. Age
The people involved were the Children born in the lat 1940's. T.v.s were becoming very popular and a lot more accessible. People started buy t.v.s everywhere. It took place in most houses in America. It is important to history because its part of the reason t.v. trays were invented as well as t.v. dinners. The t.v. age impacted society because people stopped going outside as much and they changed the way they eat and inter acted with each other. -
United Nations
The five permanent Members are the United States,Great Britain,France,Soviet Union,and China. It was a peace keeping organization put together to help solve disputes between countries. It was discussed in 1941, but decided to be used in 1945 at the Yalta Conference. This event was important because it helped keep countries from war. The United Nations impacted politics because it helped developing countries toward independence. -
Jackie Robinson
The person involved was Jackie Robinson. Jackie Robinson was the first African American baseball player in the MLB. He received many awards including being inducted into the baseball hall of fame. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. This was important to history because it showed people that even in sports your race doesn't matter. Jackie Robinson effected society because he helped in the civil rights movement. -
NATO & Warsaw pact
NATO was all of the WW2 allies and the Warsaw pact was the soviet union. NATO members agreed to help one another if they were attacked and the Warsaw pact was set up to go against NATO. NATO's headquarters were in Brussels Belgium and the Warsaw pact was based in Russia. The NATO impacted the military because they had to be ready for the Warsaw pact. -
JFK Assassination
The Assassins name is Lee Harvey Oswald. Oswald Shot JFK in the head from the Texas Schoolbook Depository. JFK died when he was 46 because of this. It happened in Dallas Texas on November 22, 1963. This event was important was important to history because he was a very loved president and we had to impeach a new president. It impacted politics because we now had a whole new president. -
The Moon Landing
The three people who went to the moon are Neil Armstrong,Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. We sent three people to the moon. We also beat Russia in the great space race. This happened on July 20,1969 at 4:17 p.m. This is important because we not only beat Russia to the moon we were able to collect samples from the moon. The moon landing effected society because we were able to be the first country on the moon. -
Kent State Massacre
The people protesting were Kent state collage students and professors. The police were called but the crowd became more loud so the called the national guardsmen. When the students started throwing rocks the guard men fired 61 bullets into the crowd and 25 people were injured and 4 were killed. The event happen in Ohio on May 4,1970. This important because it was extremely controversial. The Kent State massacre impacted society because the students were blamed and people didn't like that. -
Gerald Ford
The person involved is Gerald Ford. The biggest even from his presidency is Pardoning Richard Nixon. Nixon didn't have to go to jail because of this. He was president from 1974 to 1976. This was important to history because he was who took over after a president quit. Gerald Ford impacted politics because he became president. -

The person involved is George H.W. Bush. Bush is a Republican who won the 1988 election. He was president from 1988 to 1992. The reason he is important to history because he was president during the Persian Golf war. -

The person involved was Bill Clinton. he was a democrat who won the 1992 election. He was president from 1992 to 2000. This was important to history because he signed the test ban. Bill Clinton impacted society because he banned the testing of nuclear bombs which is terrible for the environment. -
September 11,2001
The people involved are Osama bin Laden and his group of terrorists. Four planes were hijacked,two crashed into the twin towers,one crashed into the pentagon,and one crashed in a field in Pennsylvania.
