    Ended on August 9, 1945. Hiroshima was bombed to hopefully stop the war. Japan refused to still surrender. A second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. The Japanese surrendered after the second bomb destroyed Nagasaki.

The Treaty was made so that any of the countries in the Warsaw pact could get aid incase of an attack from another country especially from countries in Nato.

Finally the U.S and Cuba came up with a agreement stating that Cuba would remove it's missiles if the U.S. does not invade Cuba.

The U.S. thought if he lost it would make all of Vietnam communist. In response, President Kennedy ordered a coup d'etat. Diem and his brother were then captured and executed.

The Operation unfortunately failed in the end with many American planes being shot down and the North Vietnamese rebuilding the targets that the planes had bombed during the night.

The U.S. was caught off guard and didn't know that the North Vietnamese would attack on the new year, because there was a unspoken cease fire during that day. Even though the North Vietnamese took heavy casualties, they still won a strategic victory.
