    The Iron Curtain was established with the Soviets against the Allies. It was a creation of a post war boundary that was also used in the Cold War. It separate Europe from East and West. They wanted to block communication from Soviet Union.
  • Berlin Airlift

    It was tension with Germany and Soviet union. It happened in Berlin, Germany. Ther were airplanes that lifted goods away fro the West and continued until 1949. There were conflicts with the West.
  • Marshall Plan

    It was the european Recovery Progam by George Marshall. It involed the United States wit h Europe. The U.S. had given economic support after World War II. There was economic aid of $ 13 billion.

    Berlin blockade and airlift,
    an attempt by the Soviet Union, in 1948–49, to force the Allied powers to abandon their World War II jurisdictions in West Berlin. In March 1948 the Allied powers decided to unite with Germany.The Allies wanted to make new agreements which made Soviets oppose. The Soviet Union lead into blockade and airlift on railroads and water connections.

    He was a Marxist, soldier and statesman who led his country's communist revolution. He was also involved in the Cultural Revolution. Many people believed he was a good and bad person. He had done good for the size of population of China, but also caused a lot of communism controversy.

    McCarthyism was created by Joseph McCarthy. It was made when people were being accused or questioned if the were communists. The event happened in the U.S. He had been charged for his comments and actions that made him in trouble. He had to come with a solution to fix the problem with Communism.

    The trial happened by the couple, Ethel and Julius Rosenberg. The couple was accused of selling nuclear secrets to the Russians during the time of war. The event was in New York and they were accused with espionage prosecution of the Federal Court.
  • Korean War

    It was a war that involved the North and South Korea. It arose from division of Korea at the end of World War II. The war created tension also from the Cold War. The war occurred from June 25- July 27, 1953. the United nations were fighting for the North, while the United States went for the South. They were two separate governments who disagreed with building a permanent border.
  • Bay of Pigs Invasion

    Bay of Pigs Invasion
    The U.S. and Cuba were involved in this invasion. It was an unsuccessful invasion from the United States with Cuba. The Cuban Army had defeated the U.S. on April 17, 1961. The U.S. government wanted to get rid of the Cuban leader, Fidel Castro's regime.

    Berlin Wall Setup
    Germany and the Soviet Union were involved. Germany was going to build a wall to permanently close off any access from the west. It was made in Berlin and demolished a few years later.
