Berlin Blockade
After Germany was divided up, the Soviet Union tried to prevent any influence from the western allies to the eastern part of berlin. Due to the blockade people citizens suffered from a lack of food, electricity, and other basic necessities. The Western Allies then reached out and helped them by sending airlifts to deliver supplies. -
