    Martin Luther King Jr. was born in the year of 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia but was sadly assassinated at the age of 39 in 1968. MLK had become a civil rights leader and speaker in 1954 and become famous across the country. Before 1954 he was a baptist minister but he had kept speaking until his death in 1968 and his dream still carry's on for many to this day

    The Berlin airlift was the U.S. sending out supplies such as food, water, fuel to the citizens of west Berlin. The citizens of west Berlin had been completely Germany and the soviet union cutting of power and many supplies that were needed.

    Elvis Presley is one of the most well known singers ever he started his career of singing in 1954 but became known international in 1956 Elvis is also known to be the king of rock and roll in the 1950s most people just getting settled down would usually listen to classical music but then Elvis came out with his music and most of the teens would listen to him and have parents freak out sounds very familiar

    The Berlin wall was a physical barrier between East and West Germany that had started construction in 1961. Before the Berlin wall had begun construction over 3 million citizens had escaped from East Germany and that is why the Soviets had built the wall in the first place to separate East Germany run by a Communism government and west Berlin run by a Democratic government.

    The Cuban missile crisis was between the Soviet Union and the United States. The Soviet Union sent many missiles over to Cuba to be launched at the United States the missiles were going to be used to hit the bigger city's such as Miami, Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, New York city, Washington, Los Angeles and Seattle. No one knew when these missiles were going to be launched so it left the people and the government on their heels.

    On June 5th of 1968 Robert F. Kennedy at the age of 42 was running for president at the time. Robert was assassinated shortly after midnight in the Ambassador hotel in Los Angeles after he had won California.in the election.
  • Watergate

    Watergate was a huge scandal in the 1972 with the president Richard Nixon and his team. Supposedly Nixon had sent a team to the the Watergate hotel where the democratic party was staying to come up with a strategy for the 1972 election. Well Nixon's plan didn't go as expected 5 people were arrested at the Watergate hotel for spying and snooping on the democratic party.

    Ronald Reagan was the 41st president of the United States of America. Reagan is most known for Reaganomics which lowered the tax rates and it more money into people's pockets especially the big business owners which allowed them to create more jobs having more people pay taxes giving the government more money. Also, Reagan survived an attempted assassination when he was shot in the chest. Reagan also won re-election in 1984.

    The challenger was supposed to be an orbital mission and had took NASA 3 years to work on the rocket. The crew for the rocket mostly consisted of astronauts except for two of the crew being the a engineer and a physicist and the other a teacher. One the of the people on the crew on the challenger being a teacher was supposed to get students excited about school and get them more involved.

    The Persian gulf war begun in 1990 and ended shortly after in 1991. The war started due to Iraq blaming Kuwait for all of the missing oil that they had. Most people thought Iraq was doing the wrong thing since Kuwait was a small country and couldn't defend itself but then America stepped in and things ended very quickly.

Later, Bill Clinton was Impeached over obstruction of justice in his affair with Monica Lewinskey.

    Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Harvey were both very similar to the people. In the city of New Orleans many were saved but treated different after the damage was done the neighborhoods of many people that didn't have much money didn't get attended to and the same goes for Hurricane Harvey Houston was the first city to get help even though it was hit after Puerto Rico and they still haven't had much help after the hurricane
