It was created in hopes of world peace. The UN had a General Assembly that included all member nations. They also have a Security Council that has 5 permanent members and 10 rotating members. The Security Council addresses any military and political problems and has the power to veto any action suggested by the General Assembly. -

The Truman Doctrine was created by President Harry S Truman. It stated that the US would provide any political, military, or economic assistance to any nation in need with internal or external threats. -
