  • Election of 1860

    The election of 1860 was when South Carolina wanted to leave America become its own country. That was significant because what they didn't want to happen happened so they actually did leave.
  • South Carolina Secedes

    South Carolina Seceded witch means they left America. Because Abraham Lincoln won the election of 1860 and they thought he wanted to abolish slavery and they needed slaves.
  • Attack on Fort Sumter

    President Lincoln Planned on resupplying the fort. Then the confederates attacked and bombed and etc them then was a 34 hour battle.
  • Battle of Bull Run/Manassas

    The engagement began when about 35,000 Union troops marched from the federal capital in Washington DC to strike a Confederate force of 20,000 along a small river known as Bull Run. There were over 350 deaths in this battle but they were worth it.
  • Battle of Antietam

    The battle ended the confederate invasion of Maryland in 1862 and resulted in a union victory. It also led the president at that time President Lincoln to issue the preliminary emancipation.
