president Lincoln is elected with out any southern vote. this is important because it started the war an south Carolina succeeded

south Carolina didn't like abe and thought he wanted to end slavery and they said they would leave if he won and he did so they left and became the confederate states.

it marked the first official cannon shot and battle of the war.north was in the fort and ran out of food they asked if they could bring them food the south said no but the north did it anyway and the first shots where fired

The emancipation proclamation was the law that stated all slaves in the confederate slaves are free and are able to fight in the war. ade only freed them so we could have a better chance of winning the war.

54th Massachusetts

54th Massachusetts was the 54th regiment it was the first black regiment to lead into battle. it proved that they where just as brave as the white regiments
