Bleeding Kansas was the period of violence during the settling of the Kansas territory. During this time the Kansas-Nebraska Act overturned the Missouri Compromises use of boundaries between slay and free slaves and territory. Brown led anti-slavery fighters to Kansas.

Maj. Gen. Ulysses S. Grants Army of Tennessee invaded on Vicksburg at the Mississippi River , invading the city and Trapping the Confederate Army under there command. Vicksburg ended up surrendering to Grant and his Army.

this was about a book that was published about slaves. this sold 300,000 copies within 3 months of being out. this had even hit the president Abraham Lincoln and when he met her he had said ''so this is the young lady who made this big war.''
