  • Battle of Galveston

    The city of Galveston located in Texas, was a Confederate controlled location. It was one of the most important ports. The Union attacked Galveston from within the harbour. In the end, the battle of Galveston was a victory for the Union.
  • Battle of Sabine Pass

    The Sabine Pass was a heavily reinforced area surrounding the Sabine River that the Confederates controlled. Occupying the Sabine allows control over large areas of land and prevented the collapse of the South's economy.
  • Battle of Palmito Ranch

    Palmito Ranch is located near the border between Texas and Mexico. Mexicans across the border gave information to the Confederate army that were trying to seek and destroy Union encampments. The skirmish in Palmito ended in a Confederate victory, even though this was the final battle in the war, the Union won overall.
