The battle was fought in Prince William county, Virginia during the civil war. Battle of much larger scale than the first battle of bull run. Attack resulted in many casualties for both sides. In the end, the confederate side won. -
Battle of Shiloh
Two day battle where 1,000s of confederate soldiers struck a line of union soldiers in the Pittsburg landing on the Tennessee river. They captured, killed, and wounded many union soldiers. Battle resulted in 23,000 casualties and was the bloodiest war in American history. -
Battle of Chancellorsville
Major battle of the civil war because it was the principal engagement of the Chancellorsville campaign. Lee and his army of 30,000 confederates attack on exposed the exposed flank. In the end, the confederate side won.
