  • Adobe Photoshop

    Adobe Photoshop
    The brothers Thomas and John Knoll created adobe Photoshop and released it in 1990. It allows users to create and digitally edit images on the computer. Now it is used to enhance images for the modeling industry, the film industry, advertising, and can be used to alter the original appearance of pictures so accurately that the average viewer cannot tell what the difference is between the edited image and the original. The term for this is also known as "to photoshop."
  • The World Wide Web

    The World Wide Web
    English scientist Tim Berners-Lee proposed this in 1989 and only fully implemented it in 1991. The creation of the World Wide Web allowed humans to create and store media and share it over vast distances.

    The first text message was created and sent in 1992 by a test engineer named Neil Papworth. Instead of spoken communication or letters, text messaging allows us to communicate short messages cellularly across the globe, furthering communication technology.
  • The DVD

    The DVD
    The DVD, or the Digital Video Disc, was created by a group of companies called the Technical Working Group, pulled together by an IBM researcher named Alan E. Bell. Previously, we used to store videos in VHS tapes, which you had to wind up every time you played. DVD's allowed people to play and replay movies or home videos without having to deal with a film tape, and instead recorded everything digitally.

    Google Search Engine
    The Google Search Engine was created in1998 by Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and Scott Hassan. It made finding specific information stored on the internet more accessible. People can now find answers to questions much faster than having to look it up in an encyclopedia, which makes it easier for people to educate themselves.
