    Christopher Columbus was born.

    He was born in the Republic Of Genoa, Italy. He was the son to a weaver.
  • Jan 5, 1476

    He went on his first voyage.

    He almost lost his life to french privateers. His ship was burned and he had to swim to the portugese shore to get to Lisbon, Portugal.
  • Jan 5, 1480

    He had his first son.

    His name was Deigo. He had this son with Felipa Perestrello.
  • Jan 5, 1486

    Went to the Spanish Monarchy of Isabella of Castille to get people, money, and resources for the 3 ship journey.

    At first, he was rejected because the peoples main focus was on war.
  • Jan 5, 1488

    He had his second son.

    His name was Fernando. He had this son with Beatriz Enriquez de Arana.
  • Aug 3, 1492

    They agreed to finance his expedition.

    The spanish gave him what he needed to complete this journey 6 years later.
  • Jan 5, 1493

    Columbus sailed for months and only found a few things.

    He set sail to spain but went island to island finding little resources. He sailed home leaving 40 sailors in Haiti.

    He set sail to the Atlantic sea for the third time.

    He visited Trinidad and the South American mainland. He went back to the Hispaniola settlement where the natives staged a revolt against the columbus brothers and their sailors.

    His last journey.

    He went on his last journey becaused he promised to find a route to the indian ocean. His ship was wrecked by a storm and he was stranded in cuba. The cubans refused to give them food because they were tiered of the spaniards obssesion with gold and riches.

    The rescue team came and got him and his sailors.

    He threatened to take away the moon from them for starving them and sure enough, two years later, there was a lunar eclipse and it alarmed the natives. They gave them food and gold and a rescue team came and got them.

    He tried to get his titles back.

    He was able to gain back some of his riches. The only problem was he didnt live much longer after.
  • May 20, 1506

    He died.

    He died still believeing that he discovered a shorter route to Asia.
