Fetal Stage begins at 8 weeks and lasts until birth. The child starts to become recognizable as a human. Rapid changes are happening:length increase 20 times,organs begin to work, fetus starts to swallow and urinate.

Around month 4 the fetus begins to develop sight.

By two months old an infant develops a stepping reflex. The baby will move its legs and touch the floor when held upright. This reflex will later develop into walking and independent movement.

By 5 months old, the infant has doubled its birth weight.

At 7 month it is common for an infant to develop stranger
anxiety. An infant may cry and become distressed when their primary care giver leaves. -
According to Piaget, beginning at 8 months an infant begins substage 4. During this substage an infant begins to exhibit goal directed behavior. This means that they will begin to act with a specifice purpose, meaning an infant may push aside a toy that is on top of another to get to the bottom toy.
