Farmers Movement

Cesar Chavez lead this act. this took place in Delano Califronia. People wanted better pay and benefits and Cesar Chavez was the one to help

Walk Out

Apr 20, 1967

Walk Out was a huge deal. Over 600 students walked out of schools to get better education and more Mexican history in the schoo's curriculm. Even school administrators wouuls punish them and put their own students down.

Reies Lopez Tijerina

Tijerina was another leader with Cesar Chavez. Although Cesar Chevez was a leader he was not violent like Tijernia. Tijernia's people were always armed.

Equal Opportunity Act of 1974

This act was passed because of the walkouts in Denver and Los Angeles. It allowed the school boards to put in the curriuulums more bilingual classes and Mexican American histroy.

Latinos Voting
