    High class brothel in Chicago, operated from 1900 to 1911. Mayor Carter Harrison Jr. ordered it to be closed on October 24, 1911. By that time the Everleigh sisters had an estimated million dollars in cash.

    Helped build the crime empire known as the Chicago Outfit. Al Capone later inherited the outfit after Torrio retired when he was shot by rival gang members.

One day while driving around with other gang members, they spotted Capone's limousine and followed it until it stopped and they opened fire on it. They were unsuccessful in harming Capone.

    Boss of Chicago Outfit from 1957-1966. He forced jazz musician Tommy Dorsey into letting Frank Sinatra out of his contract early, so Sinatra can expand his career. Story was famously referenced in The Godfather.
