Charles Darwin was Born Feb. 12 1809 in Shrewsbury, England. He was the second son born in the family along with three older sisters. His fathers name was Robert Waring Darwin and his mothers name was Susannah Wedgwood. -
Voyage on The Beagle
Charles Darwin set sail on a ship named “The Beagle” from Devonport on December 27, 1831. A 5-year cruise touring around the world. He went on this lengthy journey to help support his ideas and theories and to not only prove himself right but the world. -
Return of the Beagle
After his travels, in 1859 Charles Darwin published his book “On the Origin of Species” in England. From the research he gathered on this journey, in his book, Charles Darwin described his biological theory on the process of evolution on organisms called “natural selection”. -
The Descent of Man
In 1871 Charles Darwin published “Descent of Man”. This book was controversial due to the harsh ideas that Charles Darwin was presenting that included natural selection and how human evolution has changed and would change for the future. -

Charles Darwin passed away April 19, 1882 in London at the age of 73.
