    Darwin Begins crafting His Theory
In 1856 Charles Darwin began creating his views on a projection for a book he called "natural selection". In 1857 a year later he spent most of his time writing chapters for the book. A year later Darwin received from Alfred Russel Wallace an essay on species and varieties that was very resemblant of what Darwin was working on at the time. This helped reinforce Darwin's theory. His daughter sadly passed away that year as well.

    Origin of a Species
Darwin proposed the origin of species which gives credit to two key points. One point being that a diverse groups of animals evolve from one or a few common ancestors. The other being the mechanism by which this evolution takes place is natural selection. Darwin originally created his theory when travelling the world as a naturalist on board HMS Beagle (1831-6). Darwin wrote many drafts to refine his theory before finishing the book. VIdeo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0B6os-6uuc
