    US stock market crashed due to too many people borrowing money so they could invest in the stock market. When the lendors wanted their money back nobody could pay them so they all withdrew from the stock market causing it to crash. This started a global depression.

    Japanese officers blew up a railroad train in the Chinese province of Manchuria. The Japanese blamed it on the Chinese which gave them the opportunity to invade China.

    Hitler comes to power by using his Nazi Party to gain control in the government. His Nazis took to the streets attacking Communist groups and eventually Hitler came to power through legal means.

    Austria is annexed by Germany.
  • Munich Conference

    A conference permitting the German annexation of Sudetenland. This was a part of the Appeasement policy.

    France and britain enacted a policy of appeasement hoping to not make hitler angry.
