    AT&T introduced Text Messaging to the U.S.
    In 2000, AT&T became the first cellular company to offer instant texting in the United States. In 2000 cellular companies reported that 12.2 million texts were sent monthly, and in 2009 it went up to 135.2 billion messages per month. Texting is said to now be the most widely used data app in the world.

    Millau Viaduct
    This bridge was designed by British architect Norman Foster and French structural engineer Micheal Virlogeux, it is currently the tallest bridge in the world, the cost of the bride was around 400 million euros. It was opened to people on December 16, 2004.

    This dam goes across the Yangtze River, the Three Gorges is the worlds largest power station. In 2014 the station generated the most TWh setting a new world record. The dam was fully functional in December of 2015. The construction cost was 27.6 billion US dollars.

    A skyscraper in Dubai, it is currently the tallest structure at 2,722 ft. The construction started in 2004 an was open to the public in 2012. Adrian Smith designed the building and also designed the One World Trade Center. The cost of the building was 1.5 billion US dollars.

    A car sized rover built to explore Mars. The rover has been on Mars for 1529 days since landing in August of 2012. Its goals are to investigate Mars and its climate and geology. The rover was launched in 2011 from Cape Canaveral and landed in August.

    In 2015 Tesla debuted the autopilot feature for its cars which uses cameras and sensors in the car to detect traffic, steer, change lanes, and adjust your speed according to traffic. They also have auto park where the car itself by controlling the steering and vehicle speed.
