    Talked to the teacher. She said she would really like to do a Reading comprehension and drawing conclusion lesson with her tablet. She said the kids love the tablet and to do something of value on it is important

    Talked to the teacher to figure out what technology capabilities she had. We decided we would create something using her Android Tablet

    the app Reading Comprehension 2 was identified as the best app for her class and for what she wants to do.

    We begin by teaching her how to download the app from the app store. She has never downloaded an app before.

    I gave her a Youtube tutorial to show her how to download and pay for the app. She then plays with the app herself to understand the features better.

    She was able to download the app on the Google Play Market.

    The app was used in class with great success. The students liked it. It was used to reinforce reading comprehension.
  • Post Use Discussion

    Talked to Mentee about the ramifications of the app a couple of days after use. The students were still using the app to build reading comprehension. Additionally, Google Play has sent her some suggestions for other useful educational apps based on her recent purchase. Now that she knows how to download apps from Google Play she feels she can incorporate her tablet into the classroom much more.
