Cesar was born on March 31, 1927 in Arizona. When he was 5 he moved to California on his grandfather's small farm.

When Cesar went to school it was hard for him. It was hard for him because every time he speaked spanish his teacher would take a ruler and whack it on his knuckles. He even didn't get to graduate high school.

In the late 1960s Cesar and his wife had at least 8 children.

In 1965, a griiup of Filipino farm workers went on strike.

In 1972, Cesar's union chose a new name: The United Farm Workers of America(UFW). Cesar accomplish giving freedom for hispanic american farmers for better pay.

Cesar died peacefully in his sleep on April 23, 1993.
