First wireless phone is out for the public.
The thought of a wireless phone had been around since 1915, but no one had made one, 63 years later. the first one was realesed to public in Japan. In1973, Martin Cooper invented the first wireless phone, The DynaTac phone, while was working for Motorola. -
Nokia phones
The Nokia 6110 was the next big thing! It seems like nothing today. but when it came out, it was the best thing! It came in 4 different colors. It had the games Logic, Memory, and Snake. It also had a clock, calednar, and a calculator. -
Another Nokia
The Nokia 8210 was released in 1999, but didn't become popular until 2000. It was the smallest phone available. This phone also had text messaging services. -
Motorola Razr is out to the public.
The Razr was next. It was thin. It flipped open. It also had a camera. It came in silver, black, or maroon. In 2006, Motorola even offered a Miami Ink version. They had tattoo designs etched in them. There were many versions of the Razr available. -
Sliding phones!
Sliding phones were a big step! The LG Chocolate was a great phone. It was realeased in October of 2006. It slid up, but some sliders slid sideways and had a full keyboard. -
Touchscreens and Apps
The iPhone is the biggest hit in the cell phone world. It came out in 2007 and ever since it has been a hit. But, Apple, the makers, have made newer versions. They have two cameras, a front and back view. You can download many apps, browse the internet, and do anything a computer does, and possibly more. Today it is the most used phone.
