    Motorola DynaTac 8000X
    Although officially first created in 1973 by Martian Cooper, the Motorla's DynaTac didn't become commercially available until 1983. This began the "original" mobile phone as this was the first phone used to make a call over a cellular network. The device weighing 0.793kg, standing 1.3 inches high, storing 30 numbers in the phone-book, it took 10 hours to charge and was sold commercially for $3,995.

    In the development of the Motorola MicroTac 9800, Motorola set out to attract the high end market, competing and producting one of the smallest and lightest handsets on the market at that time. This phone created and introduced the idea of the "flip phone" which would become a basic shape of phones to come.

    The newton message pad, most commonly known as a "personal digital assistants (PDA), was the first of its kinda, and offers a similar layout we associate with today's phones. The Apple designed product offers features never seen before such as the applications of; Notes, dates, calculator, currency converter, timezone. Although the device offered many features compared to its competitors the negatives are highlighted as; 4.5x7 inches, 1 inch think, weighing almost one pound.

    This Samsung devices was developed in the trend of the "flip" phone layout and featured the first built in camera, offering a 35 Megapixel photo resolution and storing up to 20 photos. Although the camera quality was not as we know it today, it opened up the many potential possibilities of what future phones could offer.

    The LG arena was the first phone to offer to "LG'S 3D S-CLASS" this allowed users to scroll "film-reel" style through available applications.

    The next generation Apple IPHONE 3G, was highlighted as the more desirable iPhone with features such as GPS, larger storage offering the 16GB version and a fasted connection with 3G based model. The prices were also dropped starting at $199-$299.

Both phones are classified as massive competitors throughout the market and are offered in a number of colors.
