On the 5th of April 1917, Cecil Malthus' foot was broken and had to be discharged making him not fit to fight in the army. This lead to his war career ending.

On the 18th of December 1918, Cecil Malthus' married a woman with a charming name of Hazel Watters in Ashburton. Before they were married, Cecil Malthus has been sending letters to her, informing her about the news and events.

On the 25th of July 1976, Cecil Malthus' life has ended in New Zealand at a place called Christchurch. His friends, family and especially her wife was saddened.
