Holden watches Phoeb on the carousel. He is felling so happy he might cry. -
Hires Sunny
Talks to Maurice, an elevator conductor, Takes offer to hire a prostitute named Sunny. -
Maurice comes back for money
Holden only paid Sunny 5 dollars instead of the 10 dollars that he was suppose to pay. Sunny goes and gets Maurice and then Holden refused to pay. Marurice beats up Holden then he went into Holdens wallet and took 5 dollars. -
Visits Carl Luce
Holden pesters Carl with questions about sex and he suggests that Holden needs psychoanalysis. Annoyed by Holden’s juvenile comments and questions, Luce departs. -
(Early in the Morning) Goes to Ernie's
At Ernie’s, Holden listens to Ernie play the piano but is unimpressed. He takes a table, drinks Scotch and soda, and listens to the conversations around him, which he finds depressing and phony. He encounters an obnoxious girl named Lillian Simmons, whom D. B. used to date. -
Date with Sally
Has a date with Sally Hayes, who he confesses all about what he believes is phony, the hipocracies of the world, but Sally does not really want to hear it. -
Goes to Mueseum of Nat. History
Goes to Mueseum of Natural History, and likes it because everything stays the same from his childhood. -
Goes back home to Phoebe
Holden gets very drunk and goes back to his own house, where he wants to talk to Phoebe. She talks his head off about uninteresting things. But she realizes he is home early and that dad will "kill" him. -
Holden goes to Mr. Antolini's
Holden goes to Mr. Antolini is shocked that Holden flunked out of another school. Mr. Antolini is an old English professor, and a respectable man because of an incident at Holden's old school. Later, Mr. Antolini is becoming a "flit" and flees the apartment. -
Holden goes to Phoebe's school
Holden goes to Pheobe's school, and hands her a note that says to meet her in the mueseum of natural history. Rubs off "Fuck You" he sees on wall. -
