    The Georgian Style
    The Georgian Style was named after the four British kings called George. It was characterized by grace, elegance and sense of proportion. Most terraces were four storeys high. The front door was panelled, with a semi-circular fanlight above and was accessed a short flight of stairs. The normal windows became sash-windows.

    In this period there was a very impotant architect: Inigo Jones. He introduced the Palladian movement and after the Great Fire of London the house had to be made with resistant materials. The Baroque Movement utilizes bold masses of curved shapes, strong lines and rich colours with opulence of ornamental elements.

    The Tudor Style
    During the Tudor Style there were two important invention: the glass and the chimneys. The Glass was used for make windows, but it is very expansive and not all people could afford it. The chimneys became common for the first time, it was tall and thin, often made in brick. The rich lived in large country mansions made of stone or brick, it had: formal gardens, rectangular ponds, flower beds and gravel paths, fountains, statues and terraces.

    Norman churces were built in romanesque style with massive walls , heavy pillars, great round of columns, round arches, a few tall and narrow windows, a cruciform plan with a nave and two aisles, and a barrel or wooden roof
