The beginning of the Lost Years. The Lost Years is a time period where there was no record of where Shakespeare was or his activities. It is speculated from his later writings that he was travelling abroad, sailing, or fighting. It is also possible he was in hiding from the law because he killed a deer which was punishable by death at the time.
