The first motor car was invented
Karl Benz was the first person to create an automobile in 1885. He had named it the "Benz Patent Motorwagen". The automobile was designed to not use a horse or a motorized stagecoach but to generate its own power. -
Ford produced Model T
Tin Lizzie or commonly known as the Ford Model T was known as the first affordable automobile. It was produced from October 1, 1908, to May 26, 1927, by Ford Motors. With the Model T, middle-class American could use car travel. -
First electric traffic light invented
The first electric traffic light was made by Lester Wire in 1912. It wasn't until 5 August 1914 where the traffic light would be installed on the corner of East 105th Street and Euclid Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. -
First car radio installed
The first radio came about in 1933 where two brothers (Galvin brothers) would start a company to sell the first commercially successful car radio. -
First air conditioning system installed
In 1954 a corporation used its experience in refrigeration(Nash-Kelvinator) to make an air-conditioning system for vehicles. -
First seat belt installed
In 1958 the first car to come with seat belts as standard equipment that arrived. Also, Volvo had given seat belts to lots of car maker for free to save more lives. -
Electric Windows
Winding down window used to be the normal back in the day but is known a thing of the past. In the 1960 electric window were install in a luxury model and now every car has it. -
Catalytic Converter
Catalytic was technology made in 1973 to reduce toxic emission created by the engine. After 20 years this technology had become compulsory. -
Digital Dashboard Displays
The first digital dashboard display in a car appeared in 1974 when it was installed in an Aston Martin Lagonda. It had projected trip computers, speed and temperature readings and fuel economy measures. Today digital dashboard display are more popular but still are not in every car. -
Airbag Installed
The first airbags were installed in US government cars only in the 1970s, but in 1988 Chrysler had produce airbags for the public. At first, they were only for the driver, but as time went on airbag were installed all over the car to save as many lives possible. -
Reversing Camera
These cameras made life much easy for people as it showed everything behind the car when backing up, which prevented many mishaps. -
Self-driving cars
self-driving cars are going to be here and pretty soon at that. With Google’s self-driving car, the Waymo said to releases in 2020. In 2015 the car had driven a blind man behind the wheel in Texas successful.
