In 1873 the Canada government created the North-West Mounted Police. Thier job was to police the pairies from Manitoba to the Rocky Mountain.

The Rebellion

The North-West Rebellion of 1885 was a brief and unsuccessful uprising by the Métis people of the District of Saskatchewan under Louis Riel against Canada.

Railway was finished
