Riemann Sums
My most helpful hint from today was not to confuse upper and lower sums with left and right sums. Another important thing that I was reminded of was an estimate is an over or underestimate based on whether the function is increasing or decreasing. -
Slope Fields
I was reminded to look at where the slope is zero, look at the slopes on the axises and the signs of the slopes in each quadrant when matching a differential equation with a slope field. -
Sequences
I was told not to mix up series and sequences and was reminded that a sequence converges when bounded and monotonic. -
Series
The most helpful review for me was going over the LaGrange error bound since this was harder for me earlier in the year. It made it easier for me when someone told me to think of it as the next term after"n". -
Series
The most important thing that I was reminded of today was to test the endpoints of the interval of convergence. This was something that I completely forgot about and that definitely would have messed me up on the test. -
Indeterminate Form
Reviewing indeterminate form was really good preparation for me because it reminded me of some forms that I had forgotten that could show up on the test that I would have missed had we not reviewed them. -
Disk Method
The most helpful part of today was being reminded to square the function inside the intergral since I have forgotten to do that in the past because I would get confused on when to square and when not to square. -
Polar Review
We worked on finding the bounds for polar integrals on teh calculator and storing the value in a variable to keep the accuracy of the value rather than rounding. -
Calculator
Today i learned how to have more decimal places appear on my calculator so that I do not lose points for accuracy on my AP test for decimal places and rounding. -
Cross Section
I was told not to square the "A" in volume of a cross section. Everything is based off of the formula for area of the cross section if there is a square. This is vital since i used to square "A" and get the incorrect answer. -
AP Test Review
If you do not understand one portion of a question, make up an answer and use for the remainder of the free response with your wrong answer to get as many points as possible. -
Area of bounded region
when finding the are of a region bounded by two functions, do not square either function. -
AP test
I thought I was adequately prepared for the AP test. Even though series was one of my better units, I felt that I should have reviewed that more than anticpated. Other than that, I feel I was well prepared!
