Sebastian, age 11, joins his first ever soccer team. He's very happy and excited to have a new set of friends/teammates, but he starts realizing in order to get more playing time he has to be better than his teammates. -
Identity vs Role Confusion - College decision
Sebastian has had a successful 7 years of great soccer. He's the best player in his high school and wants to pursue the Major League Soccer dream by not going to college and instead focusing on his soccer full-time. His parents would like for him to just take a big scholarship from UCLA and do both. Sebastian wants to be a young star and does not approve of his parents idea. -
Integrity vs Despair - Life after Soccer
Sebastian is his mid 60's. It is summer time watching kids play the game he loves on the bright green grass. He looks back and thinks what great career he had during his soccer years as a Major league soccer professional, but he also thinks what kind of life he would have had if he ended up pursing a degree at UCLA. He wishes he could have gone back and gone to college, but does not regret his decision because of his success. He dedicates his time to help his grandchildren practice the game.
