    Trojan War
Summary: The Trojan War was fought for the kidnapping of Menelaus' wife Helen. Helen was kidnapped by Aphrodite and Paris. The battle lasted more than 10 years. Menelaus got his wife back after the war.
Analysis: I think the Trojan War was a great event that was fought. It helped Aphrodite get his wife back. It showed how much he loved his wife. But it showed what he would do to get her back.

    Cyclops

Summary: The Cyclops were known as horrible slobs. They were cruel but strong. They were huge and lazy. But they had no respect for others.
Analysis: Even though they were rude, they were helpful. If they didn't move the rock in the cave, Odysseus would've died after fighting the Cyclops. They might've been big and strong, they were dumb. They never used their height and strength to their advantage.

    Circe Analysis
As a person, Circe was on the evil side and wanted nothing with heroes. But, she could've had an easier life being a hero. She was very powerful because of her potions and ability to play games with people's minds. Overall, she was a strong person mentally who carefully thought out plans to get what she wanted even though it was for evil.

    Aeolus (Bag of Winds) Analysis

    Aeolus (Bag of Winds) Analysis
Aeolus can be known as a helpful person who helps people find their way to freedom. But in this case, he helped O reach his homecoming with Ithaca. O probably would've never made it if it wasn't for Aeolus. Aeolus would be the one who can help guide people through certain paths.

    Scylla Summary

    Scylla Summary
Scylla was a six-headed monster who would swallow people from passing ships. Each head would swallow one man, so if there were more than 6, everyone would still get eaten. Along with Scylla, she has a counterpart, Charybdis, a whirlpool. Together, they would form a dangerous, dynamic duo for whenever someone passes them on a ship.
  • 1200 BCE

    Scylla Analysis

    Scylla Analysis
I think Scylla was just a horrible monster, because she had no concern for no one else. She was a monster who would eat anyone that passed her, or her counterpart, Charybdis would have them fall into his whirlpool. Scylla was a no good monster who probably only cared about Charybdis. Without Charybdis, she still would be very powerful.

    Charybdis Summary

    Charybdis Summary
Charybdis was a sea monster who would later be turned into a whirlpool. He would be one factor of Scylla and Charybdis, two dangerous parts of Greek Mythology. Charybdis is from the Strait of Messina. Charybdis would also be considered as a major shipping hazard to fellow sailors.
  • 1200 BCE

    Charybdis Analysis

Charybdis can be considered as the less harmful factor of Scylla and Charybdis. He would just drown you. Scylla would eat you and I think being drowned would be quicker. Overall, Charybdis is powerful but with Scylla , they would be very hard to defeat.

    Helio's Cattle Summary

    Helio's Cattle Summary
Helio's cattle were killed at sea by Odysseus' men. They were convinced to kill them because Eurylochus told them it's better to die at sea, then die of hunger. In order to survive, they would have to kill the cattle and eat them. The next day, O would be furious because his crew did the opposite of what he said and killed the cattle.

    Helio's cattle Analysis

    Helio's cattle Analysis
I think it was a good and bad idea to eat the cattle. If you think about it, it would've been a two-sided debate on it. It was good because they wouldn't have starved of hunger. It was bad because they disobeyed their leader and didn't follow his orders.

    Suitors/Home Analysis

    Suitors/Home Analysis
I think the suitors were horrible people who only cared about themselves and only wanted things that would help them. Penelope would be an item for one of them to claim to be their servant. If O hadn't returned, the suitors would've taken over Ithaca. But instead, O came back and reclaimed his land.

    Lotus Eaters

Summary: Some of Odysseus' men ate some fruit given to them by natives. After eating, they had no more desires of returning home, but wanted to stay where they were. O would have to find a way to get them home. That would be hard for him because he never had great communication with his crew.
Analysis: O would be the only one who had the mindset of getting home. I think his crew never thought of him as a great leader. They never listened to him. They never trusted what he said to help him.
