    The Progressive Era was a time of uncertainty. The whole reason the Porgressie Movement happened, was to end corruption in the governmet. To do this they took down political machines and they're bosses. Many U.S. citizens supported prohibition in the USA so tey can destroy the political power of local bosses. Many activist joined efforts to reform local goverment, public education, medicine, finance, insurance, industry, railroads, churches, and many other areas.

    In the 1920's it was known for it's dramatic social and political change. More Amaricans moed to the city and less lived in farm lands. he nations toal wealth had doubled during 1920 and 1920. People fomcoast to coast bought the same goods because of advertising and the spread of chain stores. People started to listen to the same music and dance the same. Alot of Amaricans did not like this so call new, urban, sometimes racy, mass culture, bringing more conflict in "The Roaring Twenties".
