    In his senior year at the University of Central Florida, Brandon Marshall gathered 74 receptions, 1195 yards, and 11 touchdowns for the Knights.
  • Marshall gets drafted

    In the 2006 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos selected Brandon Marshall in the fourth round with the 119th overall pick from the University of Central Florida. He was 22 years old at the time. This was the beginning of his always interesting NFL career, and he cemented his name in the history books as one of the few players to be drafted from the University of Central Florida.
  • Marshall sets NFL record

    When the Denver Broncos took on the Indianapolis Colts, Brandon Marshall came off the field with a new NFL record in the books. He had 21 receptions in the game, for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. Despite his amazing game, the Broncos still lost to the Colts 28-16.
  • Marshall gets traded

    After 4 years on the Broncos, Brandon Marshall was traded by the Broncos to the Miami Dolphins for a 2010 2nd round pick and a 2011 2nd round pick. The reason for the Broncos trading Marshall was because of his behavior on and off the field. He was becoming so much of a distraction that the team had no choice but to trade him. This was Marshall's awaking sign, which helped him to find out about his borderline personality disorder.

    ... Marshall was playing the best football of his life, and it was finally distraction free too. After working with therapists to help control his borderline personality disorder, Marshall was no longer acting out on and off the field as much, at least not noticably.
  • Marshall gets traded, again

    After just 2 seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Marshall was traded again, this time to the Chicago Bears. On the Bears, he would reunite with Jay Cutler, his quarterback from his days with the Denver Broncos. While in Chicago, Cutler and Marshall were an inseparable pair. Marshall quicly became Cutler's favorite target. In 2012, his first year on the Bears, he had a career-high 118 receptions, along with a career-high 1508 receiving yards. (Continued on next slide)
  • Marshall plays "green cleats game"

    During a Thursday NIght Football game in October of 2013, Brandon Marshall decided to wear bright green cleats for the Bears' game against the Giants. The cleats would be a violation of NFL rules, and Marshall would be fined (which he knew). The reason he wore the cleats was because it was mentral health awarness week, and the bright green represented mental health awareness. Marshall vowed to match the fine he received from the NFL ($10,500) and would donate it towards mental health research

    ... the fine however did not go un-noticed. Marshall's performance in that game was amazing. Marshall would have 9 receptions for 87 yards and 2 touchdowns in the team's 27-21 win over the Giants. And the hype he receieved about the cleats spread the word about mental health awareness just like he wanted.
  • Marshall gets traded, yet again

    After 3 seasons with the Chicago Bears, Marshall was traded yet again to the New York Jets along with a 2015 7th round pick for a 2015 5th round pick. The trade came amongst rumors that Marshall was a "distraction" in the locker room and players and coaches didn't like the things that he was doing. The Bears later issued a statement saying that those reports were not true and that they did not trade him because of his actions behind the scenes.
