Bobby got diabetes when he was 12. "I was 12, so I was facinated with the idea of injections, and then the docter told me i needed to excercise alot, that idea was very inviting to me." - Bobby Mcmullen.

Bobby went blind at age 29. Bobby was in law school when he was told he would go blind. "He diagnosed me with prolifetarive diabetic retinopathy and told me I would be totally blind in a month. And I was."- Bobby Mcmullen.

After a time of ignoring the symtoms of kidney fialure,Bobby put his name on the list to get a double transplant.In 1997 he finally found a donar and got his transplant. "The idea that i had a new pancreas and would no longer be a diabetic was pretty amazing."

Bobby got sick weeks before the paralympics. Then had to drop out for health reasons.

After the first surgery Bobby was well. 3 years later he had experienced symptoms of kidney and pancreas rejection, was then put back on diaylasis.

Bobby had gotten diabetes when he was 12. When he was 29 the diabetes caused Bobby to go blind. When Bobby went blind, his friend helped him train for the Paralympics on the U.S disabled ski team. After many falls and hard work Bobby had started the symptoms of kidney failure. When he got his second transplant, he was off dialysis but a few years later he had symptoms of the rejection of the surgery. After the rejection his kidneys had failed and he had to go back on dialysis.

Bobby recieved a second double transplant. After his body rejected the first one a few years back.

He quit skiing and then competed in a half iron man race. After the race he figured out that the bike riding was his favorite part of the whole race.

FacebookBobby got married last september on saturday. Before he got marrried Bobby was dating the Nurse that took care of him when he was on diaylasis. After 7 years she broke up with him. Bobby was scared that he would never find love again. But then he met Heidi. When he first met Heidi he new he was in love and he says he hopes he always will be. He is very much enjoying being married.
